Actor So Ji Sub and his wife, former television announcer Cho Eun Jung, remain one of the entertainment industry’s most admired couples for their private yet meaningful approach to married life.
One of Korea’s most recognizable actors, So Ji Sub, has starred in numerous hit dramas throughout his career, including What Happened in Bali, I’m Sorry, I Love You, Master’s Sun, and My Secret Terrius. Recently, the 49-year-old actor enjoyed another successful television comeback with SBS drama Agent Kim Reactivated, where his emotional portrayal of a devoted father and high-intensity action scenes helped the series reach a peak nationwide rating of 23.1%.
His wife, Cho Eun Jung, is a former OGN announcer and reporter who graduated from Ewha Womans University. At 32, she is 17 years younger than So Ji Sub.
The couple first crossed paths in 2018 during an interview for SBS entertainment program Midnight TV Entertainment, where Cho Eun Jung interviewed So Ji Sub while he was promoting a film.

Following their marriage, the couple reportedly moved into a luxury residence at Hannam The Hill, one of Seoul’s most prestigious residential complexes located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District. According to Korean media reports, the home was purchased for approximately ₩6.1 billion (around US$4.5 million), with reports claiming the property was paid for entirely in cash.
Since getting married, So Ji Sub has occasionally shared how marriage positively impacted his personal life. The actor previously revealed that after marrying Choo Eun Jung, his long-standing insomnia disappeared and he found greater emotional stability. He even described his satisfaction with married life as “1,000%,” saying he wholeheartedly recommends marriage.
After tying the knot, Choo Eun Jung stepped away from broadcasting to focus on her personal life. So Ji Sub has also been careful when speaking publicly about his wife. During a recent interview, he explained that he hopes she can live as “Choo Eun Jung” rather than simply being known as “So Ji Sub’s wife,” reflecting his respect for her individuality and privacy.
Fresh off the success of Agent Kim Reactivated, So Ji Sub once again drew attention for his generosity after reportedly gifting cast members and production staff gold worth approximately ₩100 million to celebrate the drama’s completion. The production team is also expected to enjoy a reward vacation in Guam, while fans continue speculating about the possibility of a second season after the actor teased followers with the message, “I will be back.”
