On July 21, fashion magazine DAZED Korea released a new interview video with Nah Kai through its official social media channels, giving fans a closer look at the rising model behind one of K-pop’s most anticipated music video appearances.
In the interview, Nah Kai appeared in a simple white T-shirt layered with an unbuttoned shirt, opting for a relaxed look rather than high-fashion styling.

Even so, his long black hair, thick eyebrows, and sharp facial features immediately stood out, highlighting the distinctive visuals that have drawn increasing attention since news of his collaboration with Jennie emerged. His calm gaze toward the camera and model-like proportions further emphasized his unique aura.
During the interview, Nah Kai was asked to recommend a summer vacation destination. He initially mixed up Xiaoliuqiu (Little Liuqiu) with Green Island (Lüdao) before laughing at his own mistake, charming viewers with his down-to-earth personality.

Explaining why he ultimately chose Xiaoliuqiu, Nah Kai said: “It’s a small and adorable island that’s perfect for a short three-day trip. You can have a lot of fun there. There are plenty of delicious foods, and the ocean is incredibly clean.” He also greeted viewers in Korean, earning praise for his sincere effort despite speaking the language somewhat shyly.
The interview quickly sparked enthusiastic reactions online, with many viewers commenting on both Nah Kai’s visuals and personality. Fans wrote comments including:
- I can’t wait to see him become a global star.
- He’s so funny.
- Now I understand why Jennie chose Kai.
- He’s even more charming than expected.

The interview has further fueled anticipation for his appearance alongside Jennie. Nah Kai recently became a trending topic after it was revealed that he would play the male lead in Jennie’s upcoming music video for “Less than a Lover.” The collaboration has generated significant buzz among fans eager to see Jennie’s latest concept and on-screen chemistry with the Taiwanese model.
Jennie’s new single “Less than a Lover” is scheduled for release on July 24 at 1 p.m. KST.
