On September 25, Jung Eun Hye posted a message on social media titled “I Can Only Laugh at These Sudden Pregnancy Rumors,” stating, “The rumors that artist Eun Hye is pregnant are completely untrue.”
Earlier, images showing Jung Eun Hye and her husband, Jo Young Nam, apparently holding an ultrasound photo were posted on her Facebook account. Some netizens mistook the AI-generated images for real photographs and began congratulating the couple, leading to pregnancy rumors.
Explaining the images, Jung Eun Hye said they were “AI images that happened to be generated while making a Chuseok greeting card through an app received from an acquaintance.”
She continued, “The two of us have mutually agreed not to have children and are continuing with our everyday lives and economic activities. Posting those images on Facebook certainly could have caused such a misunderstanding, but we would appreciate it if everyone could regard this simply as an amusing misunderstanding.”
Jung Eun Hye, who received numerous congratulatory messages because of the unexpected pregnancy rumors, added, “We will repay all the congratulations you sent us by working even harder and living even more happily as we strive for complete independence from our parents and financial self-reliance.”
Jung Eun Hye became widely known after appearing in the 2022 tvN drama Our Blues as Lee Young Hee, the twin sister of Lee Young Ok, played by Han Ji Min. She married Jo Young Nam, who is eight years older than her, in May last year, and the couple currently runs a café together.
