A viral TikTok with serious accusations against BTS for plagiarism has sparked hugely mixed reactions from netizens.
Recently, a video has been going viral with the caption “#BTSdisband” with the OP sharing examples of times that BTS were “copycats” with their songs, showing similarities between tracks like “IDOL,” “No More Dream,” “Butter,” and many more to older Western songs.

In the comments, netizens hit back at BTS and the blatant “plagiarism,” with many especially shocked at the similarities between “Butter” and artist Luca’s “you got me down.” Yet some defended BTS, explaining that sampling is often used in K-Pop and the music industry.
