On October 5, TWICE announced through a fan communication platform that the group would hold the 2026 TWICE FAN PARTY [ONCE UPON A THRI11] to celebrate its 11th anniversary. According to the notice, three fan parties will take place on October 17, with each session limited to 250 people, allowing only 750 fans to attend in total. The event is also restricted to fans aged 15 or older who are members of the fifth generation of TWICE’s official fan club, with attendees selected through a lottery.

Following the announcement, both Korean and international fans voiced complaints online, particularly over the small capacity and eligibility requirements. One fan commented, “Shouldn’t a meaningful event like this allow as many fans as possible to attend? Why should a fan meeting become an occasion where only a small number of lucky people get to be happy?” Another criticized the agency, saying, “There are people who became TWICE fans over the past year, so why are they still limiting everything to the fifth-generation fan club?” Many argued that the event’s capacity was far too small compared with the size of TWICE’s fandom.
Another point of criticism was the lack of a specific venue announcement. The official notice only stated that the event would take place “in the Seoul area,” with the exact location to be provided individually to selected attendees.

TWICE’s agency, JYP Entertainment, faced similar criticism over the group’s 10th anniversary fan meeting last year. Fans complained that the venue had too few seats relative to the size of the fandom and that only one show was held. Comments made by the members during their ninth anniversary fan meeting, when they said, “Let’s hold next year’s fan meeting somewhere bigger and better,” have since resurfaced. Some fans argued that the arrangements for both the 10th and 11th anniversary events did not reflect what the members and fans had hoped for.

TWICE debuted in October 2015 and is celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2026. In August, member Jeongyeon announced that she would not renew her contract with JYP Entertainment for a second time and would move to a new agency.
