TVXQ member U-Know Yunho has changed the venue for his upcoming Seoul solo concert after long-running protests near the original location made it difficult to hold the event as planned.
On July 7, SM Entertainment announced through Weverse that “Yunho Project 26: SCENE#1 in SEOUL” will no longer be held at Ticketlink Live Arena, formerly known as the Handball Stadium, in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
Instead, the three-day concert from July 17 to 19 will take place at Jamsil Indoor Stadium.
The agency explained that the venue change was necessary because the original site has been affected by an ongoing “polling station blockade” protest that has continued for more than a month.
The demonstrations began after complaints over a shortage of voting ballots during the June 3 local elections, making access to the concert venue increasingly difficult.
According to AllKPop, SM Entertainment apologized for informing fans later than expected, saying, “We apologize for the delayed announcement as we had to go through the venue rental approval process. We hope this change does not cause any confusion for attendees.”
The emergency venue change comes just 10 days before Yunho’s concert, highlighting how the continuing protests have disrupted large public events in the area.
Although unexpected, the move was made to help ensure fans can safely attend the performances without major disruptions.

TVXQ’s Yunho Moves Seoul Concert to Bigger Venue
The new venue also allows more fans to attend. While Ticketlink Live Arena can accommodate around 5,000 people, Jamsil Indoor Stadium has a capacity of about 10,000, nearly doubling the number of available seats, SportsChosun reported.
Because the seating layouts of the two venues are different, SM Entertainment confirmed that ticket holders will keep their existing reservations, but their seat locations will be reassigned.
The agency said it will not open a new ticket reservation process to reduce confusion. However, it also noted that matching the exact seat positions from the original venue may not be possible.
Fans who decide not to attend the concert at the new location may cancel their tickets by 5 p.m. on July 15 and receive a full refund without any cancellation fees.
Yunho’s concert is not the first event affected by the ongoing demonstrations.
Earlier, Nexon moved its MapleStory showcase to KINTEX in Ilsan, while HYBE adjusted operations for Weverse Con because of the same situation.
Despite the sudden venue change, Yunho continues preparing for an important month. Alongside launching his first solo concert tour, he is also scheduled to release his new song, “Time’s Tickin’,” on July 20.
