A Taiwanese court has officially reached a verdict in a widely followed celebrity lawsuit involving actor Zack Fanchiang, his wife Guo Guo, and singer-actor Prince Chiu (formerly of the boy group Lollipop), according to Ettoday.
The case centers on allegations that Guo Guo and Prince Chiu engaged in an extramarital relationship, leading to the breakdown of Fanchiang’s marriage.
According to the court ruling, after a trip to the United States, Prince Chiu and Guo Guo reportedly engaged in interactions that went beyond normal friendship.
The court stated that the two celebrities were notably close in public and did not attempt to conceal their relationship from people around them.
Both Guo Guo and Prince Chiu are reported to have acknowledged the allegations during legal proceedings.
As a result, the court ordered them to pay 1 million New Taiwan Dollars in compensation to Zack Fanchiang.
The controversy first became public in late 2025, when China Times reported that Zack Fanchiang had accused his wife Guo Guo of infidelity involving Prince Chiu.

Fanchiang stated that he began noticing unusual behavior after Guo Guo returned from a work trip to the United States. He later claimed to have obtained evidence suggesting an extramarital affair.
The actor described the situation as emotionally devastating, stating that trust in his marriage had been completely destroyed and that he was prepared to confront those involved.
In response to the allegations, Guo Guo confirmed that her three-year marriage to Zack Fanchiang had already reached its end. Her representatives stated that the couple had been separated for a long period and had begun legal divorce discussions in early 2025.
Guo Guo also said she had attempted to resolve matters amicably, but negotiations ultimately failed.

Following the controversy, Prince Chiu’s management company released a public apology statement addressing the situation and expressing regret for the impact caused.
Prince Chiu (real name Chiu Sheng-yi, born 1989) is a Taiwanese entertainer known for his work in hit dramas such as Devil Beside You, Why Why Love, and Attention, Love!, as well as his early career as a member of Lollipop.
Zack Fanchiang and Guo Guo married in 2022 and welcomed a daughter the same year.
The case has since become one of the most discussed celebrity relationship controversies in Taiwan, drawing significant attention due to the involvement of well-known entertainment figures and the legal outcome.

Following the scandal, a philosophical reflection about love and relationships has also resurfaced widely online, questioning the difference between emotional connection and formal commitment.
The passage, often linked to teachings from Courage: The Joy of Living Dangerously, suggests that love is a continuous experience, while relationships are defined as structured states that may eventually end.
