On May 21, JYP Entertainment announced through official SNS that Seungmin had visited the hospital in March after feeling pain in his left ankle. After further examination, he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left ankle. The agency explained that Seungmin is currently minimizing long flights and travel to focus on full recovery.
As a result, Stray Kids will perform at The Governors Ball Music Festival in the United States on June 6 local time as a 7-member lineup without Seungmin. The group is scheduled to appear as a headliner at the festival.

The news has worried fans, especially as more idols have recently paused or missed activities due to health problems. LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon previously halted activities temporarily due to neck pain, while fromis\ 9’s Lee Chaeyoung was also unable to perform at a university festival after suffering from stomach cramps and dehydration.
With music shows, overseas schedules, and university festival season continuing, fans are expressing growing concern over idols’ physical condition. Seungmin’s absence is another reminder of how intense idol schedules can become, especially when artists are expected to balance performances, travel, and recovery at the same time.
