Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin are preparing to show a realistic side of love in the upcoming KBS2 romance drama “A Love Other Than Yours,” where they will play a couple who have been together for 10 years.
On August 5, the production team of the new weekend miniseries released photos from the cast’s first script reading, giving fans an early look at the actors’ chemistry before the drama’s premiere.
The script reading was held in March and included directors Hwang Seung Ki and Lee Ga Ram, writer Yoo Soo Ji, and the main cast members.
“A Love Other Than Yours” follows a longtime couple who once believed their relationship was strong but begin facing unfamiliar emotions that challenge their future together. The drama focuses on the realistic changes people experience after years of love, especially when a relationship reaches an important turning point.
Seo Kang Joon takes on the role of Nam Goong Ho, an assistant manager at Hoonmin Confectionery who has spent the past decade fully devoted to his girlfriend, Lee Mi Do, AllKPop reported.
His character is expected to show the emotional struggle between trusting the person he loves and dealing with unexpected changes in their relationship.
Ahn Eun Jin plays Lee Mi Do, a film director who has achieved her dream but begins questioning her path after facing difficult realities. Through the character, Ahn will portray the complicated emotions of someone caught between personal goals, love, and uncertainty about the future.
Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin Showcase Chemistry
The biggest focus of the drama is expected to be the natural chemistry between Seo Kang Joon and Ahn Eun Jin. Their characters share a long history together, allowing the series to explore both the comfort and challenges that come with a decade-long relationship.
The supporting cast will also add new conflicts to the story. Lee Joo An plays Han Tae Seung, a lawyer working with a film company who informs Mi Do about her dismissal and later develops feelings for her. Jo Ah Ram stars as Park Soo Ah, a junior employee at Hoonmin Confectionery who enters Nam Goong Ho’s life and creates new changes.
The production team praised the cast’s performance during the first script reading, saying, “From the very first script reading, each actor naturally immersed themselves in their character, bringing the realistic emotional tone that defines this romance to life.”
They added that viewers can expect a story filled with the familiar feelings of a couple who have spent 10 years together, along with family warmth and realistic workplace relationships.
According to TheChosun, “A Love Other Than Yours” will premiere on September 12 at 9:20 PM KST on KBS2. The series will also be available worldwide in more than 240 countries through Amazon Prime Video.
