BTS has returned to Toronto for a new installment of Run BTS! 2.0, with the first episode of the group’s two-part Canadian special now streaming and a second chapter set to follow on Sunday, October 11.
The first “BTS in Toronto” episode was released Tuesday, October 6, at 8 p.m. Korean Standard Time through BANGTANTV and Weverse. The 26-minute installment brings RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook together for an outdoor picnic filled with childhood memories, games, food and the kind of competitive detours longtime viewers have come to expect from the series.
Part two is scheduled for October 11 at the same 8 p.m. KST release time. For U.S. viewers, that converts to 7 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time and 4 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
BTS Turns a Toronto Picnic Into a ‘Run BTS!’ Competition
BANGTANTV first previewed the Toronto special on September 30, showing the seven members gathering in a park before moving through games and challenges including Red Light, Green Light and a pickleball competition. SBS subsequently confirmed that the Toronto edition would be split between October 6 and October 11.
Episode 1 expands considerably on the picnic portion of that teaser. The members reminisce about childhood outings and meals before playing Drop the Handkerchief and Red Light, Green Light. Their afternoon also includes food associated with the Toronto setting, including poutine and sushi pizza, before the conversation shifts into a series of increasingly elaborate hypothetical debates.
The episode also finds BTS weaving their own music into the games, with songs including “Hooligan” and SUGA’s “Daechwita” surfacing during the group’s playful competition. The result is a familiar Run BTS! setup: a relatively simple group outing becomes more chaotic once the members start inventing rules, arguing their cases and competing against one another.
What the October 11 ‘Run BTS!’ Episode Could Bring
The September teaser offered footage that extends beyond what viewers saw in the first Toronto installment, most notably scenes of the members playing pickleball. The preview showed rallies, celebrations and reactions from the group while also teasing a penalty for the losing side. SBS reported that the members had previously discussed becoming enthusiastic about the sport.
That makes the pickleball competition one of the clearest elements still to watch for when part two arrives, although the teaser did not reveal the tournament’s complete outcome. The distinction matters for viewers following the two-part release. October 6 and October 11 are separate release dates five days apart, rather than installments arriving on consecutive Tuesdays or as a same-day package. The second Toronto episode is scheduled to stream Sunday, October 11, at 8 p.m. KST.
Toronto Has Become Part of BTS’s 2026 Tour Story
The Toronto episodes also connect Run BTS! 2.0 with the group’s wider ARIRANG World Tour. BTS performed two sold-out Toronto concerts on August 22 and 23. Ahead of those shows, the City of Toronto temporarily renamed a section of Yonge Street “BTS Boulevard,” extending from North York Boulevard to Finch Avenue. The designation remained in place through September 23. The city’s announcement does not establish when the Run BTS! footage was filmed, so the temporary street designation should be treated as context for the group’s Toronto visit rather than evidence of the special’s production date.
Toronto is nevertheless becoming a recurring setting in BTS’s 2026 activity. The concerts brought the group to the city as part of its tour, while Run BTS! 2.0 now gives fans another look at the members away from the stadium stage.First launched in 2015, Run BTS! built its identity around missions, competitions and group challenges. The Toronto installment keeps that formula intact while tying the series more closely to BTS’s current life on the road.
For viewers, the rollout is now halfway complete. Episode 1 is available, while the October 11 installment is set to continue the Toronto outing and reveal more of the competition teased before the two-part special began.
