Rising K-pop girl group RESCENE, which has been enjoying a remarkable surge in popularity thanks to its songs climbing back up the charts, has encountered an unexpected setback. The YouTube channel run by member Woni was forced to postpone an upcoming video after an entire day’s worth of editing work mysteriously disappeared.

On October 11, the production team behind Woni’s YouTube channel, Hello, I’m Woni, Nice to Meet You, released an official notice explaining the situation. “Hello, this is Solfa Studio. Due to an unknown issue, we have been unable to recover the work completed over the past 24 hours, including the automatically saved files. We will do our best to restore everything and return as soon as possible,” the team announced.
Unfortunately, the lost footage edits could not be recovered, leaving the production team with no choice but to start the editing process again. In a follow-up comment, the staff apologized to viewers who had been waiting for the new episode. “We’re sorry to everyone who has been waiting. Since the files cannot currently be restored, we have to edit everything again, which may take some time,” they explained. “We will return by Tuesday at the latest. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support.”

Rather than expressing frustration over the delayed upload, fans immediately showed sympathy for the production staff. Online comments included, “This is the producer’s real-life horror experience,” “The producer must be the most stressed person right now, so I can’t even complain,” and “This is basically a natural disaster.” Another fan humorously remarked, “I thought we were going to watch the members experience something scary this week, but it turns out we’re the ones getting the horror experience.”
Messages of encouragement continued to pour in. One viewer wrote, “Since I’m getting to watch a premium streaming service like ‘Hello, I’m Woni, Nice to Meet You’ for free, I’ll happily wait.” Another added, “Take your time. We’ll be here whenever you’re ready.” Fans familiar with video editing were especially understanding, commenting, “This hits way too close to home. Losing that much editing work is genuinely terrifying,” and “Re-editing should hopefully take less time than the first attempt, so please hang in there.” The announcement eventually attracted more than 10,000 comments, demonstrating the strong support surrounding the channel.

Meanwhile, on the same day, RESCENE made its first appearance on a major South Korean television news broadcast when the group was featured on SBS’s Eight O’Clock News. Speaking about their recent rise in popularity, the members modestly shared, “We feel a little embarrassed to even use the word ‘popular.’ Rather than feeling it directly, we start to realize it a little when we attend events and hear everyone singing along together.” They also expressed their ambitions for the future, saying, “We want to climb even higher and expand our presence around the world.”
RESCENE is scheduled to release its fourth mini-album, PULSE, on November 3, marking another milestone as the group continues building momentum in the K-pop industry.
