Actor and director Lee You Jin is getting married to actress Cha Kyung Eun following a whirlwind romance that began on the set of his directorial debut.
On October 6, Lee You Jin’s company officially announced that the couple will hold their wedding in Seoul on November 14.
“Lee You Jin will marry actress Cha Kyung Eun on November 14 at a location in Seoul.”
The story of how the two became a couple has attracted particular attention due to just how quickly their relationship progressed. Lee You Jin and Cha Kyung Eun first met through Lee You Jin’s first project as a director, Cast Me If You Can See the Way! According to his side, Lee You Jin fell for Cha Kyung Eun at first sight while they were preparing to film the project.
The attraction was reportedly mutual, with Cha Kyung Eun also developing an interest in him. As they continued working together, the two naturally became closer and built trust in one another. However, it was only after filming had concluded that Lee You Jin seriously confessed his feelings and actively pursued her.
Cha Kyung Eun reciprocated, and the pair officially began dating in June, already with marriage in mind. Their relationship progressed exceptionally quickly from there. With both reportedly certain about one another from the beginning, they informed their families of their intention to marry and received their blessings.
In fact, reports claim that even their families were surprised by how decisive and fast-moving the couple were. This means the pair will be walking down the aisle in November after only around five months of officially dating.
The wedding will be held privately with only family members and close acquaintances present. The exact venue will not be disclosed out of consideration for the couple’s families and guests.
Lee You Jin is known not only for his acting career but also as the son of veteran actor Lee Hyo Jung and nephew of actor Lee Ki Young. Cha Kyung Eun made her debut in the 2021 short film Peach and gained recognition through the web drama PICKGO.
Following their marriage, both stars plan to remain active in the entertainment industry, with Lee You Jin continuing as both an actor and director and Cha Kyung Eun continuing her acting career.
