Park Yoo Chun‘s legal battle with his former agency is continuing despite recent claims from his Japanese agency and legal representative that his lawsuits in South Korea had been resolved.
On July 11, former agency Logbook released a statement challenging those claims, saying the dispute over Park Yoo Chun’s exclusive contract and management rights has not ended. The agency explained that a previous court ruling only decided that the matter should be handled through arbitration, not that the contract dispute had been settled.
“The exclusive contract dispute with Park Yoo Chun has not ended,” Logbook stated.
According to AllKPop, the agency added that the ruling “was not a judgment on the validity of the exclusive contract or the ownership of the exclusive management rights.” Logbook emphasized that arbitration is only a process for resolving the disagreement.
“The court’s decision that it must be resolved through arbitration does not mean the dispute is over; it merely determined the procedure and jurisdiction to resolve the dispute,” the agency said.
The former agency also claimed that the issue involving Park Yoo Chun’s alleged unauthorized departure and management rights remains unresolved. Logbook warned that it may take additional legal action, including possible claims related to defamation and business obstruction.
Park Yoo Chun Shares Message
The agency also announced plans to request disciplinary action from the Korean Bar Association against Park Yoo Chun’s legal representative, accusing the representative of spreading what it described as inaccurate information through a press release.
Earlier, Park Yoo Chun’s Japanese agency announced on July 1 that his long-running legal issues in South Korea had been completed. The agency said his tax issues were also being handled through an installment payment plan with the National Tax Service.
Park Yoo Chun’s legal representative also stated that a lawsuit filed by a former agency seeking damages for breach of exclusive contract obligations had ended with a final dismissal ruling. The representative added that related criminal cases had also been closed without prosecution.
Separately, Park Yoo Chun recently shared a message after resolving another legal dispute involving a 500 million won damages lawsuit, The Chosun reported.
He wrote on social media, “This moment is truly precious, and I never want to lose it again. Neither people nor time.”
The lawsuit involved management company LoudFuntogether, which had claimed damages after a contract dispute over Park Yoo Chun’s exclusive management rights.
The case ended after both sides withdrew their lawsuits, removing Park Yoo Chun’s obligation to pay the 500 million won in damages and delayed interest.
