On one hand, many celebrated the update, due in part to the various controversies Mark was involved in following his departure.

On the other hand, some pointed to Doyoung’s following only containing members of NCT 127 and his older brother, actor Kim Gong Myung. Many felt that Doyoung already shared his thoughts on the situation in the immediate aftermath of Mark’s departure and that this update did not make a difference.
