Actor Nam Goong Min and actress Jin Ah Reum have become parents after four years of marriage, welcoming their first child, a baby boy. The couple shared the joyful news on July 26, with fans sending warm congratulations as they celebrated the arrival of their son.
Nam Goong Min’s agency, NKM Film, confirmed the birth and announced, “Nam Goong Min and Jin Ah Reum have welcomed a son.”
The agency also shared that both the mother and baby are healthy while asking fans for understanding as the family keeps further details private. According to AllKPop, the agency added, “As this concerns the actors’ private lives, we ask for your understanding that we cannot provide further details.”
It also expressed gratitude for the support and kind messages from fans following the happy announcement. The news came shortly after the couple revealed Jin Ah Reum’s pregnancy in June. At the time, the agency shared that she had been focusing on prenatal care.
The couple’s first child became an especially meaningful milestone as they welcomed their baby four years after their wedding.
Nam Goong Min and Jin Ah Reum first met in 2015 while working on the short film “Light My Fire.” Nam Goong Min directed the project, while Jin Ah Reum participated as an actress. Their professional relationship later developed into a romantic one, and they confirmed their relationship publicly in 2016.
Nam Goong Min Welcomes Son
After dating for seven years, the couple tied the knot in 2022, SportalKorea reported. Despite their 11-year age difference, their relationship continued to receive support from fans who followed their journey from colleagues to life partners.
The birth of their son also marks a new personal chapter for Nam Goong Min during his 27th year as an actor. He made his debut in the 1999 drama “Unfold Your Dream” and built a strong reputation through various successful projects, including “Good Manager,” “Doctor Prisoner,” “Hot Stove League,” “The Veil,” “One Dollar Lawyer,” and “My Dearest”.
He is currently starring in the KBS2 weekend drama “The Husband,” where his performance continues to gain attention from viewers. The drama also reached a new ratings milestone, with episode 8 recording a nationwide rating of 7.3% and a peak rating of 9.2%, according to Nielsen Korea.
Jin Ah Reum has also continued her career in entertainment.
