On October 21, A2O LITE appeared on MBC FM4U’s Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope, where the members discussed various topics. Sunny, Lee Soo Man’s niece and a senior artist and producer at the same agency, served as a special DJ in place of Kim Shin Young.
During the broadcast, the A2O LITE members revealed that they had never expected their debut song to receive such an enthusiastic response. OA said, “The reaction to our debut song was really amazing. I think many people like it because of its addictive beat and melody.”
The group was particularly delighted to have reached No. 1 on a music chart in the shortest time after debut. The members recalled their modest celebration, saying, “We all ate an ice cream cake together to celebrate reaching No. 1.”
They also discussed a video featuring AI-generated versions of Lee Soo Man and Yoo Young Jin performing “NEON.” The members agreed that they were surprised when they first saw the video.
“I was surprised, too, which is why I posted it,” Sunny said. She then revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes story: “There’s a video of Mr. Lee Soo Man dancing. He once briefly performed Aijing’s intro choreography. We have that video, and if the opportunity comes, I’ll release it.” Her remarks raised fans’ expectations of seeing the producer’s dance moves.
Aijing also shared her own experience with Lee Soo Man. “I was really nervous. I kept feeling anxious because I wasn’t doing well, but Mr. Lee Soo Man helped me,” she said, expressing her gratitude toward the producer.
A2O LITE secured a No. 1 win on a music show just one week after debut. The achievement was particularly notable because it came without strong physical album sales, driven instead by the impressive digital performance of “NEON.” Meanwhile, the paired choreography in the song’s opening section has attracted widespread attention on social media, inspiring various parodies and AI-generated edits.
