Lee Joon Opens Up About His Dating Past: “I Fought a Lot While Traveling With My Partners”
Lee Joon opens up about arguments during past trips with romantic partners and jokes that dating taught him how to become a better photographer.
On the September 20 broadcast of MBN’s This Is Hyunmoo Road, Lee Joon and Jun Hyun Moo were shown traveling together in Da Nang, Vietnam.
During the episode, Lee Joon explained, “I’m usually a planner, but when I travel, I don’t make plans.” Revealing why, he added, “I’ve gotten into a lot of arguments while traveling with friends or romantic partners. So I have a bit of trauma when it comes to traveling.”
Lee Joon said those unpleasant experiences changed the way he approaches trips. “The most important thing is for the person I’m traveling with to have fun,” he explained. “I like experiencing the local culture and immersing myself in it. I think the more you live like a local, the more fun it becomes. I want to take trips that leave me with a lot of lasting memories.”
The episode also revealed Lee Joon’s surprisingly impressive photography skills, once again turning the conversation toward his dating history. When Jun Hyun Moo expressed surprise at how good he was at taking photos, Lee Joon joked, “It’s because I’ve been properly trained. If you date a lot, you have no choice but to get good at it.” He then added with a laugh, “After getting scolded a few times, you fix your mistakes right away.” Jun Hyun Moo responded, “So that’s why I got scolded so much,” prompting more laughter.
This Is Hyunmoo Road, starring Jun Hyun Moo and Lee Joon, is a spontaneous road-trip variety show in which the pair abandon perfectly planned itineraries and instead decide where to go and what to eat based on how they feel each day. The program recorded a 0.9% viewership rating when it premiered on September 20.
Meanwhile, Lee Joon was previously in a public relationship with actress Jung So Min, whom he met while filming the KBS drama My Father Is Strange. The two began dating in 2017 before ending their relationship in 2020 and going their separate ways.
