On October 1, the YouTube channel Chubby Uncle Lee Jang Woo uploaded a video titled, “Eating Is Part of Hiking! I, Lee Jang Woo, (Didn’t) Hike Either and Went Looking for Great Restaurants Nearby. I Enjoyed Everything From Bossam to Tofu Hot Pot and Pajeon.”
During the video, Lee Jang Woo said, “Cheonggyesan is really close by and it’s a great mountain. It’s not even that high,” before adding, “I used to go there often back when I was skinny.”
He then revealed a photo taken while hiking with his wife, Jo Hye Won, during their dating days. Looking at his noticeably sharper jawline and slimmer physique, Lee Jang Woo recalled, “Back then, I traveled a lot with a backpack. I also exercised a lot.”
After seeing photos from Lee Jang Woo’s slimmer days, the production staff expressed their amazement, saying, “You seriously look like a completely different person. You were so handsome,” and, “If I had that face, I think I’d take selfies every day.”
Lee Jang Woo replied, “I did that back then too. Now, it’s been an incredibly long time since I took a selfie. Once I started gaining weight, I stopped taking them.” He then sighed and added, “Even if I lose weight, I probably can’t go back to looking like that, right?”
The production team then brought up the green padded jacket that became a hot topic through MBC’s I Live Alone, asking, “Was the green padded jacket from 2023?”
Lee Jang Woo explained, “The green padded jacket actually looked fine when I was slim. It started looking strange after I gained weight because the front began spreading apart.” He then showed a photo of himself wearing the same jacket when he was thinner.
He added, “If I lose weight, I want to go hiking again. Right now, my knees hurt too much, so I can’t hike, but once I lose weight, I’d like to start again. That way, I can eat even more delicious food.”
