Actors Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo revealed completely different views on their ideal wife types during the “Goblin” reunion special, with Lee Dong Wook’s honest answers drawing attention from viewers.
On July 11, tvN’s “Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip” featured the cast of the hit drama, including Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Yoo In Na, Kim Byung Chul, Lee El, and Park Kyung Hye. The cast reunited to look back on memorable moments from the series and share personal stories.
During the episode, the cast played a quiz game featuring famous scenes from “Goblin.” One question focused on a scene where Ji Eun Tak, played by Kim Go Eun, asks Kim Shin, played by Gong Yoo, about his preferred type of wife: a devoted wife, someone sexy, or a professional.
After guessing the scene correctly, the cast members were asked which option matched their real preferences. According to Koreaboo, Lee Dong Wook chose “professional” and explained that he is attracted to someone who has her own career and passion.
“I prefer a professional. I’d like her to have her own job,” Lee Dong Wook said. He added that what matters most is not simply the person’s occupation, but their dedication and enthusiasm toward their work.

Lee Dong Wook Says Money Doesn’t Matter
Yoo In Na then asked him to choose between someone who has a career but earns little money and someone who has financial success without a specific profession. Lee Dong Wook responded that money was not an important factor.
“Money isn’t important,” he said. When Yoo In Na joked, “What if the person keeps using your money?” Lee Dong Wook confidently replied, “That’s fine. I have that much,” surprising the cast and making everyone laugh, TheChosun reported. Yoo In Na praised his answer by saying, “That’s cool.”
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo shared a different preference by choosing a “devoted wife” as his ideal type. Kim Byung Chul also gave his answer quickly, choosing “sexy,” which created another humorous moment during the conversation.
