Girl group MIMIIROSE, originally produced by singer-producer Im Chang-jung, has officially disbanded just ahead of their 4th debut anniversary, marking an unexpected end to their journey.
On April 16, member Ye-won (Kim Ye-won) personally announced the news through her social media account, revealing that the group has decided to part ways after lengthy discussions.
In her heartfelt post, Ye-won wrote that MIMIIROSE has decided to end group activities and begin new individual paths.
She expressed deep gratitude to fans while also apologizing for the sudden and painful news: “We have decided, after long discussions, to go our separate ways. We are leaving our agency and standing at a new starting point as individuals rather than as a group.”

She continued, acknowledging the emotional impact on fans: “I know this farewell will be very painful for everyone who has supported us so far, and I am sorry that I can only say goodbye.”
Ye-won also reflected on the group’s journey with their fandom Bloomy, describing their shared stage moments as the happiest memories of her life. “The time we spent dreaming together on stage, and the eyes and voices of Bloomy, were the happiest moments of my life.”
She added that although MIMIIROSE’s group activities have ended, their shared memories will remain forever. “Even though our journey as MIMIIROSE ends here, what we built together will never disappear.”
She concluded by asking fans to continue supporting their future paths as individual artists.

MIMIIROSE debuted with significant attention as a group produced by Im Chang-jung, gaining early curiosity due to his involvement in their creation.
However, the group’s journey later faced challenges when Im Chang-jung became embroiled in allegations related to stock manipulation, which affected public perception and momentum around the group.
Following the controversy, MIMIIROSE moved to Pocket7 Entertainment in hopes of a fresh start.
Despite this “new beginning,” the group has now ended its activities in less than two years after restructuring, officially closing the chapter on their group career.
