On April 23, a video titled “Make Me Yeonhui-dong’s Ambassador. From New Hot Spots to My Favorite Hangouts, I’m Spilling Everything” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “IMOS Jeon Somi.”
Introducing the video, Jeon Somi said, “The second stop is my hometown, Yeonhui-dong. Every alley has its own charm, and it’s perfect for a walk right now. There’s still so much I haven’t shown yet… when should I show it next?” Having grown up there since elementary school, she revealed she knows many places—and people—in the neighborhood.
During the video, Somi meets her father Matthew, and the two enjoy a walk together, grabbing coffee and going grocery shopping. At one point, someone calls out, “I’m Ye-won,” causing both of them to stop. Matthew asks warmly, “Is your dad doing well?” while Somi runs over to greet her with a hug.
Somi then explained the connection, saying, “She’s Uncle Go Chang-seok’s daughter,” highlighting the close relationship between the two families.
Previously, Jeon Somi had also mentioned her bond with Go Chang-seok’s family on various shows. Appearing on 12 o’clock with Joo Hyun-young, she shared, “I’ve known Uncle Chang-seok since I was young. He’s a friend of my father, so we’re very close.”
She added, “His daughter is the same age as me, so we’ve met since childhood and stayed close friends,” emphasizing that the friendship extends across both generations.
