On August 15, Jeon Wook Min took to Instagram to share an honest update about his current situation and the difficult period he has been through. “I quit the job I had been doing for more than 10 years,” he wrote, reflecting on the path that brought him to this point.
Jeon Wook Min recalled that he once had what he considered his own “golden years.” He explained that he had loved exercise since childhood, which naturally led him to attend a physical education college, serve in the military and eventually work as a trainer. From the age of 26 to 31, he worked hard and saved money little by little before opening his own fitness center. At first, the business performed well, making him believe he could become wealthy sooner than expected.
However, the situation changed dramatically when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. “I learned that not everything goes according to plan,” he said, explaining that the sudden outbreak caused his revenue to plunge while his anxiety continued to grow.
In an effort to overcome his financial difficulties, Jeon Wook Min said he took out a credit-card loan to launch a protein-related business. However, the venture ultimately failed. Looking back, he admitted that he may have approached the business too casually because he had experience working out and building his own physique.
“The protein business I started without any real plan failed,” he said. He then found himself struggling to cover credit-card loan interest, debt and rent while trying to get through each day. As the hope that things would improve “tomorrow” gradually faded, he eventually decided to give up exercise, his career as a trainer and his fitness center.
Jeon Wook Min said he currently has neither savings nor the impressive career he once had. Despite hearing advice from some people to stop overdoing things and simply live quietly, he said he intends to keep fighting. “I will keep running today so that one day I can look back on this day and remember it with a smile,” he wrote.

His latest post comes just days after he attracted attention by mentioning his older sister, actress Jeon So Min, on Instagram.
At the time, he wrote that his sister is a famous actress and emphasized that the money she earns belongs entirely to her. His comments were subsequently interpreted by some as meaning that he had never received financial assistance from his sister.
Jeon Wook Min later clarified his remarks, saying that it is obvious that his sister’s money is not his. However, he stressed that he had never said he had not received help from her.

He subsequently revealed that Jeon So Min had helped him after his business failed. “I had ruined my business, was mentally broken and was living a pathetic life,” he said, adding that his sister had quietly provided practical support for him without saying much.
Jeon Wook Min first became known to television audiences after appearing on SBS’s variety show Running Man during its family special in 2017. In 2022, he also appeared on Channel A’s variety program Strongest Baseball?, titled Cheon Ha Je Il Jang Sa in Korean.
