A K-Pop idol-turned-actor candidly revealed his dating style through travel experiences. He shared stories of multiple fights with his partner during trips and even disclosed the “techniques for taking good photos” he learned through dating.
On September 20th, the first episode of MBN‘s variety show This is Hyunmoo Road featured Jun Hyun Moo and Lee Joon, originally from MBLAQ, traveling to Da Nang, Vietnam.
Before departure, Lee Joon introduced himself as someone who enjoys “virtual travel” in an interview with the production team. Although he usually has a planned personality, he admits that when it comes to actual travel, he doesn’t make plans.
The conversation naturally shifted to Lee Joon’s past dating experiences when discussing travel.
Lee Joon openly stated, “I’ve fought many times with friends and partners during trips,” adding, “I suffer from travel neurosis and PTSD.” He emphasized that the satisfaction of the travel companion is the most important thing to him during trips.
He explained his travel philosophy, saying, “When I travel, I want the person I’m with to have fun. That’s number one.” He prioritizes the satisfaction of the person he’s traveling with over what he himself sees or enjoys.
The second priority he mentioned was local culture. Lee Joon said, “It’s nice to understand the culture and become acclimated. It leaves a strong impression.” He prefers experiencing the local atmosphere firsthand rather than setting fixed sightseeing spots.
His personality was evident upon arriving in Da Nang. Calling himself a “minimalist,” Lee Joon showed up carrying only a backpack without a carry-on suitcase.
Inside the bag were just one pair of socks, one pair of underwear, and three T-shirts. Lee explained, “I don’t sweat on my lower body, so the pants I’m wearing now are all I need.” Seeing this, Jun Hyun Moo exclaimed in surprise, “He’s totally like Kian84.”
Lee Joon’s dating experience resurfaced again as they took photos while traveling.
Without any special plan, the two walked through local alleyways, taking pictures of each other. Although Jun Hyun Moo coached Lee Joon on posing, Jun was impressed by the photos Lee Joon took.
In response, Lee Joon joked, “That’s because I completed training,” before revealing an unexpected secret.
He said, “You can’t help but get better if you date a lot. If you get criticized a few times, you fix it right away,” eliciting laughter. He explained that through dating, taking photos of his partner and receiving feedback naturally improved his photography skills.
Hearing this, Jun Hyun Moo replied, “So that’s why I got scolded so much,” adding humor while relating.
Lee Joon previously dated actress Jung So Min publicly. The two met through the KBS 2TV drama My Father Is Strange, began dating in 2017, and confirmed their relationship in 2018. They continued their public relationship until announcing their breakup in 2020.
