The event features items donated by current NCT members.
On September 6, the NCT Flea Market event kicked off in collaboration with Seoul Fashion Week to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary.

The event was advertised as a fundraiser where the members’ cherished items, along with stage outfits and memorabilia, would be available for purchase. For example, a watch worn by NCT DREAM’s Jeno was among the items for sale, as were plush keychains used by NCT WISH’s Sakuya.

There were also many clothing item worn by the group at different points, some of which have since sparked concern online.
A netizen pointed out that a piece of clothing, a jacket from the brand OAMC, was possibly worn by former member Taeil. Taeil, who is currently serving a three year prison sentence after being convicted of gang rape, wore the jacket in the NCT127 music video for “Chain.”

Another user reported finding another of Taeil’s allegedly worn items in the clothing, this time featuring the former idol’s name written in black marker.

With the belief that these items were worn by Taeil in mind, many have expressed anger over the inclusion. Proceeds from the event are said to be donated to “organizations supporting women, youth and cultural initiatives.”

- “I’m so f*cking pissed, please retweet this.
The brand was expensive, so I gave up trying to find it and just bought it, but how can you sell clothes belonging to someone who left the group after being accused of sexual assault??
What fan would actually want to buy clothes belonging to a criminal? Seriously. I’m going to formally file a complaint with SM. No matter that it’s a flea market, how can you sell a criminal’s clothes?” - “Seriously, it was so ridiculous I had to question my own eyes.”
