National MC Yoo Jae Suk humorously took credit for a rising actor’s achievement, drawing laughs with his boastfulness.
On a recent episode of MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo, the second preliminaries and a meeting with first preliminaries holdouts of the ‘95 Seoul Music Festival were held.
On the show, Yoo Jae Suk announced an increased prize amount compared to last year’s 80s Seoul Music Festival.
Taking into account the inflation rate since the 1990s, the grand prize was set at ₩2.00 million KRW (about $1,500 USD) — double the amount from the previous 80s Seoul Music Festival. The prize money for gold, silver, and bronze awards was set at ₩1.00 million KRW (about $749 USD), ₩700,000 KRW (about $524 USD), and ₩500,000 KRW (about $375 USD), respectively.

Among them, Haha expressed hope, saying, “I hope another new figure like Lee Jun Young comes out.”
Previously, Lee Jun Young won the grand prize jointly with Lee Juck at the 80s Seoul Music Festival. At that time, Lee Jun Young passionately performed Park Nam Jung’s Missing You, winning both the grand prize and the popularity award, sparking great attention.
Recalling Lee Jun Young’s win, Yoo Jae Suk said proudly, “When we suggested to Jun Young to perform Park Nam Jung hyung’s song, he actually felt burdened. But didn’t he win the grand prize with that?”
In response, Joo Woo Jae complained, “He kept bragging about it,” clearly tired of Yoo’s self-praise, to which Yoo replied, “I made it happen. I raised Jun Young,” once again causing laughter. Yoo’s affectionate gesture, attributing Lee Jun Young’s grand prize win to himself, caught attention.
Yoo also shared a recent update, saying, “Do you know how much Jun Young is dancing now that he’s in the military?” Joo Woo Jae added, “He’s not an introvert.”

Haha added humorously, “At this point, he should really come to greet us when he’s on leave. Didn’t I make things easier for him? He should come and say hello.” Lee Jun Young is currently serving in the military.
