i-dle is celebrating their 8th debut anniversary with a heartfelt message to fans, expressing gratitude and an ambitious promise for the future.
Marking the milestone on May 2, the group—Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua—shared a warm message through their official channels.
“Time feels like it passed so quickly. The reason these past 8 years are filled with happy memories is all thanks to Neverland,” they said, referring to their fandom.
They added with sincerity and humor, “We’re so happy to be together as members, and we’ll work hard for another 80 years.”
Since debuting in 2018 with the mini album I Am, i-dle quickly carved out a unique identity in K-pop. Their debut track “LATATA”, produced by leader Soyeon, set the tone for their self-produced, concept-driven music.
Over the years, they’ve delivered a string of hits like “TOMBOY,” “Nxde,” and “Queencard,” each showcasing bold concepts and strong artistic direction.
A New Era With “We Are”
Last year marked a turning point as the group rebranded to i-dle and entered what they described as a new chapter.
Their mini album “We Are” surpassed 1 million copies in first-week sales, making it their fourth consecutive million-seller. Earlier this year, their digital single “Mono (Feat. skaiwater)” also performed strongly, earning multiple music show wins.
With a comeback scheduled for July, the group hinted at a fresh direction: “It might feel different from the image people usually think of when they think of us. We’re curious how it will be received.”
They emphasized that while experimenting with new styles, they will still retain the essence fans love—this time with a more mature musical approach.
Reflecting on their 8-year journey, the members highlighted their bond as the key to their success. “We all still love music, and the trust and belief between us made the team stronger.”
Their pride in continuous growth—and in each other—remains at the core of their identity.

The group closed with a heartfelt message: “To our beloved Neverland, thanks to your unwavering love over these 8 years, we’ve been able to come this far. Let’s stay together for even longer. We’ll keep working hard. We love you.”
Beyond their upcoming comeback, i-dle is actively connecting with global fans through their 2026 world tour “Syncopation.” They are also set to perform at Lollapalooza on July 31, further expanding their international presence.
Eight years in, i-dle continues to evolve without losing their core identity. With a strong bond, creative control, and loyal fandom behind them, their promise of “80 more years” feels less like a joke—and more like a vision.
