On August 25, SBS confirmed that Hyun Bin and actor Woo Do-hwan had completed filming for Whenever Possible and that their episode is scheduled to air on September 1.
Whenever Possible is a variety program that surprises people during their brief moments of free time and presents them with unexpected gifts and entertainment. The show recently returned for its fifth season and airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. KST.
Hyun Bin will join Woo Do-hwan on Whenever Possible ahead of the premiere of their upcoming Disney+ series Made in Korea Season 2. The two actors are expected to meet the show’s hosts and participants while spending time together during their everyday “spare moments.” Their appearance is drawing particular attention because it marks a rare opportunity to see Hyun Bin outside his usual acting projects.

Although Hyun Bin has appeared on programs such as You Quiz on the Block and The Manager, his previous appearances have largely been centered on interviews or observational formats. His upcoming appearance on Whenever Possible will reportedly mark his first full-fledged variety show appearance since his debut.
The actor, who debuted in 2003, has maintained a relatively low profile when it comes to entertainment programs compared with many other stars. As a result, viewers are particularly curious to see what kind of personality and chemistry he will showcase in a more relaxed variety setting. His partnership with Woo Do-hwan is also expected to add another layer of fun to the episode, especially as the two are preparing to return to viewers together through Made in Korea Season 2.
Hyun Bin and Woo Do-hwan’s episode of SBS’ Whenever Possible is scheduled to air on September 1, 2026, at 9 p.m. KST.
With Hyun Bin stepping into a variety show for the first time in his 23-year career, anticipation is already building over the actor’s unexpected side and his chemistry with Woo Do-hwan.
