On October 18, the Chinese entertainment industry was abuzz with reports that Guo Qilin and Jiang Yiyi had registered their marriage. The news quickly climbed to the top of Weibo’s trending searches. Although neither star has publicly confirmed the happy news, Chinese netizens have eagerly begun revisiting clues that may point to a romantic relationship between the two actors.

Jiang Yiyi and Guo Qilin first became acquainted after working together on the 2021 drama My Heroic Husband. Following the project, the pair were photographed at a hospital. According to reports, Jiang accompanied Guo to support him during laser eye surgery. When rumors that their on-screen collaboration had developed into a real-life romance first surfaced, Jiang denied them, explaining that she had visited her older sister, who worked at the hospital, and happened to run into Guo. However, netizens were unconvinced by her explanation. Jiang later attended the year-end celebration hosted by Deyunshe, one of China’s best-known xiangshang companies, which is owned by Guo Qilin’s father. In 2022, Guo was filmed sharing an intimate moment on the street with a woman who looked remarkably similar to Jiang Yiyi.

According to online speculation, marrying into the Guo family could transform Jiang Yiyi’s fortunes, making her one of the entertainment industry’s newest wealthy daughters-in-law. Deyunshe is estimated to be worth 2 billion yuan. As the only son of Guo Degang, Guo Qilin is expected to inherit his father’s considerable wealth. Notably, in late September 2025, Guo Degang reportedly announced that he would give his son and future daughter-in-law three luxury properties, along with 260 million yuan, to help them build their married life after the wedding.

Born in 2001, Jiang Yiyi is a well-known former child actress in China. She began acting at the age of six and has since appeared in more than 60 television and film productions, as well as nearly 100 advertisements. Asian audiences may recognize her from several popular historical dramas, including Love Yunge from the Desert, in which she played young Yun Ge; The Romance of the Condor Heroes, in which she portrayed young Guo Fu; and Prince of Lan Ling, in which she played the younger version of Yang Xuewu. However, just as her career was reaching new heights, Jiang was reportedly exposed for tax evasion. The controversy sparked a major backlash, with audiences turning against her and the entertainment industry reportedly shunning her.

Guo Qilin, born in 1996, is the son of influential actor and xiangshang performer Guo Degang. Although he is not particularly known for his conventional good looks, he has earned recognition for his talent. In addition to establishing himself in xiangshang, Guo has appeared in numerous television dramas, including Joy of Life, My Heroic Husband, Big Forest Cafe, and Give Me a Chick at 18.
