How did the original members react to her arrival?
In a new YouTube video shared by comedian Kim Sook‘s channel, SECRET’s new member Yebin opened up about the pressure she felt joining a veteran girl group.
The video showed Kim Sook meeting up with her close friend Jun Hyosung, as well as SECRET members Zinger (Jung Hana) and the new maknae, Yebin.
The group is set to release its special mini-album, Secret Flavor, on June 18. The comeback has drawn attention not only for the group’s return, but also because Yebin is joining as a new member. Yebin was born in 2002, making her 13 years younger than Jun Hyosung and 12 years younger than Zinger.
During the episode, Kim Sook asked Yebin if she had originally been a trainee. Yebin revealed that she had not been training under an agency before joining SECRET. “I was just a college student,” Yebin said, “I sang at school. My major is related to singing.”
Jun Hyosung then explained how she discovered Yebin. According to Hyosung, she first noticed Yebin through the vocal survival show Girls On Fire. Hyosung praised Yebin’s skills, explaining why she believed the rookie singer would be a good fit for the group.
I saw Yebin on the vocal survival program Girls On Fire. I wondered if there might be someone among the contestants who could debut right away, so I looked up all the participants. She was so good on stage, and she sang so well!

Yebin then admitted she had felt nervous about joining SECRET, especially given the age gap and the group’s long history. “I’m working hard,” Yebin said. And so far, the teamwork is solid!
Honestly, I had a lot of worries at first. I’m such a rookie, and SECRET was an active group when I was in elementary school. But things were great from the start. From the first day, the unnies treated me so well. They also reacted really well to me.

With Yebin joining Jun Hyosung and Zinger for SECRET’s comeback, many are curious to see how the new lineup will sound on Secret Flavor.
