A former SM Entertainment artist opened up about her changed daily life and mindset after leaving the agency to stand on her own.
On October 30th, the YouTube channel TEO uploaded a video featuring Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) member Yuri.

In the video, Yuri spoke in depth about the unit group Hyorisoo with Girls’ Generation members Hyoyeon and Sooyoung.
Yuri expressed her gratitude for the fans’ passionate response, saying, “It’s amazing and surprising that so much interest is being shown.”
She added with a laugh, “These days, there are personal fancams and ending fairies, right? But we didn’t prepare those in advance. We just pushed each other on stage and fought for spots.”
She shared a unique stage anecdote, saying, “After seeing that, juniors apparently told Sooyoung, ‘I’m jealous of those seniors who are so free on stage.’”
In particular, Yuri expressed anticipation for a full group comeback, saying, “It’s been a while since I stood on stage, and next year marks the 20th anniversary of Girls’ Generation’s debut, so I think there will be opportunities to perform.”
Alongside this, she also shared the latest update on stepping out on her own after leaving SM Entertainment, where she had been for a long time.
Yuri said, “After graduating from SM after 25 years, I’m working solo. There’s really a lot to do,” adding, “I’m learning everything from start to finish, and it’s so much fun.”
She revealed, “I even have to personally issue tax invoices and meet with legal representatives,” and confessed, “I realized there aren’t as many things I can do alone as I thought.”
She admitted, “Until now, there were so many people helping me before I could complete something myself or before I even had to go through the process of trying again after failure,” and said, “Even though I’m older, I feel like I’m too immature. I don’t even really know what I like.”
She also revealed that her mindset has changed through standing on her own. Yuri said, “Facing my shortcomings as a human being, Kwon Yuri, I’ve come to think, ‘So what if I can’t do it?’” She added, “By being a little more forgiving toward myself, I’ve become more forgiving of others. I’ve come to understand that everyone has their own circumstances.”
