A famous Korean actress’ comeback drama after six years concluded without any rebound in viewership ratings. From the first to the last episode, ratings remained in the 0% range, resulting in a disappointing performance.
On September 24th, the final episode of OK! Let’s Get Divorced aired on KBS Drama and GTV. The ratings for that day recorded 0.3%. Throughout its broadcast period, the drama failed to break the 1% barrier and ended all episodes with ratings in the 0% range.
The drama attracted attention before airing as Lee Min Jung’s first lead role in a drama in six years since the 2020 KBS2 series Once Again. It depicted the story of a married couple running a wedding dress shop, who decided to divorce, with Kim Ji Seok co-starring as her husband. However, it struggled to gain traction in the ratings.
In the final episode, Baek Mi Young (played by Lee Min Jung) and Ji Won Ho (played by Kim Ji Seok) choose divorce after a long period of conflict. Mi Young learns the truth about a miscarriage that happened three years ago through a letter left by Won Ho. She then meets with Won Ho and accepts his wish to divorce, agreeing to support each other’s future paths.
The two clashed until the end over asset division and company management rights. Won Ho wanted to hand over the company management to Mi Young, but she refused, saying she couldn’t take over the company they built together alone. During this process, news of their divorce became public, putting the company in crisis.
In the end, Mi Young agreed to Won Ho’s proposal and took charge of the company. They shook hands to mark the end of their seven-year marriage and went their separate ways.
Time passed to one year later. A new designer applicant appeared before Baek Mi Young, and it was Won Ho. The story ended with the two smiling as they faced each other once again.
