Thai entertainment is currently reeling from a massive scandal involving Mild Lapassalan and her billionaire in-laws after her husband, businessman Pi Sunith Scott, was publicly accused of sexual abuse by his younger brother.
According to reports circulating across Thai media, Pi Sunith Scott’s younger brother Psi Scott claimed he suffered abuse from the age of 12 until he was 24 years old. Psi Scott emotionally alleged that multiple members of the family were already aware of the incidents because they had allegedly heard confession recordings connected to the accusations.
Psi further claimed that despite knowing about the situation, no one within the powerful family intervened or protected him. Instead, he said he was left to deal with everything alone while also facing legal disputes initiated by family members over inheritance-related assets left by his grandfather.
The controversy quickly exploded across Thai social media because it involves not only one of Thailand’s most famous actresses, but also the influential Bhirombhakdi family — owners of the Singha business empire.
Following the allegations, Mild Lapassalan became heavily targeted online despite not being directly involved in the accusations. Social media users flooded her personal accounts with criticism, demands for explanations and emotional reactions regarding her marriage. At the same time, many fans defended the actress and argued she should not be blamed for a conflict occurring within her husband’s family.
The situation has generated particular sympathy because Mild is currently pregnant with her first child. The actress only married Pi Sunith Scott last year after the couple reportedly dated privately for nearly eight years.
Who Is Mild Lapassalan?
Mild Lapassalan, born in 1994, is considered one of Thailand’s most recognizable “teen queen” actresses. Before entering the entertainment industry, she first gained popularity online as a teenage internet celebrity and beauty contest winner.
Her breakthrough came in 2013 through the drama Nong Mai Rai Borisut, after which she became widely known for her youthful visuals and charming screen presence. Over the years, she has starred in popular projects including Ugly Duckling Series: Don’t, Kiss: The Series, Love Songs Love Stories and Love and Lies.
Mild is also known to be a close friend of Baifern Pimchanok. The two actresses previously worked together on 46 Days, and Baifern recently revealed she had already prepared gifts for Mild’s future baby.
The Enormous Wealth Behind the Scott Family
The scandal has drawn even more attention because Pi Sunith Scott belongs to one of Thailand’s wealthiest and most influential families.
According to Thai media, Pi is part of the powerful Bhirombhakdi dynasty, owners of the legendary Singha Corporation empire. Beyond beer production, the conglomerate reportedly operates across real estate, food manufacturing, glass production and numerous large-scale businesses with total assets exceeding 100 billion baht.
Forbes previously listed a senior member of the Bhirombhakdi family among Thailand’s richest individuals, with an estimated fortune of approximately $1.75 billion USD.
Pi himself reportedly studied in the United Kingdom from a young age before returning to Thailand to work within the family’s business empire. In addition to holding executive positions within Singha-related companies, he also reportedly owns shares in music and media businesses valued at hundreds of millions of baht.
Following the public backlash surrounding the allegations, Pi Sunith Scott reportedly locked or disabled his social media accounts. As of now, neither he nor Mild Lapassalan has issued an official public statement regarding the accusations.
