Epik High member Tablo gave fans a sweet glimpse into his life as a father after sharing a heartfelt comment about his daughter, Haru, during a recent YouTube video.
The touching moment appeared in a video titled “Korean Convenience Store RECIPE BATTLE,” which was uploaded to Epik High’s YouTube channel on June 18.
In the episode, Tablo and fellow members Mithra and Tukutz introduced their favorite convenience store food combinations while joking with one another.
The conversation took a heartwarming turn when Tablo showed a carb-flavored spicy chicken ramen. His bandmates immediately teased him, joking that the food was “for babies” and calling him a “spicy wimp.” The playful comments sparked laughter among the group.
According to Koreaboo, without missing a beat, Tablo replied, “I eat it with my baby, Haru,” naturally bringing up his daughter during the conversation.
His comment surprised Tukutz, who asked if he still referred to Haru as a baby. Mithra quickly chimed in, saying that Haru was indeed a baby. Tablo then shared a line that resonated with many parents.
“She’ll be my baby for life,” Tablo said.
Haru’s Growing Success Impresses Fans
The moment became even more amusing when Tukutz pointed out that Haru might not agree with that description. Laughing, Tablo admitted, “She hates it,” creating one of the video’s most memorable exchanges, KPopHit reported.
The warm father-daughter story quickly caught the attention of fans who have watched Haru grow up over the years.
Tablo and actress Kang Hye Jung married in 2009 and welcomed Haru shortly afterward. The family later gained widespread popularity through the KBS2 television program The Return of Superman in 2013, where viewers saw Haru’s bright personality and close relationship with her parents.
Now 16 years old, Haru has developed an impressive list of achievements of her own. Fluent in English, she is currently preparing for major US college entrance exams, including the SAT and AP tests.
Beyond academics, Haru has also earned recognition for her creative talents. She previously co-wrote lyrics with her father for KiiiKiii’s song To Me From Me and helped translate subtitles for the film Nirvana the Band.
Most recently, Haru drew attention in the K-pop industry after becoming the sole lyricist for “Do Your Dance,” the title track from RIIZE’s latest mini-album.
