Netizens also called out the director, agreeing it was unnecessary to mention such a sensitive topic.

- “People might understand if you mention it once during filming, but it’s unnecessary to continuously mention it every time.”
- “He needs to know when to stop.”
- “It doesn’t look good if you keep bringing it up like that.”
- “I hate people who think it’s ok to be disrespectful because you are close. Who cares if he gains weight? The film is complete.”
- “We can understand if you mention it during the film promotions, but why would you continue to bring it up even after the movie has premiered and has done well?”
- “I hate the wording of saying gaining weight doesn’t look good. It’s already rude to say it in private, but to say it on a broadcast more than once is so disrespectful.”
- “This is a bit…and it doesn’t look like he’s saying it because of his acting role.”
