BTS member Jimin has posted his first video on his personal TikTok account, choosing an established solo track rather than unveiling new music for his debut on the platform.
Jimin shared the video on Sept. 28, performing choreography to “Be Mine,” a song from his 2024 solo album MUSE. Billboard covered the TikTok debut on Sept. 29, while StarNews identified the account as Jimin’s personal profile and reported that the outdoor clip shows him dancing with a coastal backdrop.
The post brings renewed attention to “Be Mine,” but it does not represent a new single or newly announced album. The song has been part of Jimin’s solo catalog since MUSE arrived in July 2024.
Jimin Revisits ‘Be Mine’ From ‘MUSE’
BIGHIT MUSIC released MUSE, Jimin’s second solo album, on July 19, 2024. The seven-track project contains “Rebirth (Intro),” “Interlude: Showtime,” “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco),” “Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson),” “Be Mine,” “Who” and “Closer Than This.”
BIGHIT describes the album as following Jimin’s search for inspiration and love, contrasting that theme with the more inward-looking focus of his first solo album, FACE. The label identifies “Who” as MUSE‘s main track, placing “Be Mine” within the broader album sequence rather than presenting it as the record’s original lead single.
That distinction matters as clips from the TikTok post circulate. A new performance of an older song can revive interest in the recording without establishing a new release campaign.
StarNews reported that the TikTok video is a performance clip rather than a newly produced “Be Mine” music video. The outlet also characterized it as a fuller look at choreography for the track that had not previously been publicly shown in that form.
Jimin Already Had a History With TikTok
Calling the Sept. 28 post Jimin’s “TikTok debut” requires some context.
The new development is his first post on his personal TikTok account. His music and performance content had already been promoted on the platform through BTS’s official account and through TikTok’s own campaigns.
When MUSE was released in July 2024, TikTok launched a dedicated #Jimin_Who in-app experience celebrating the album. The campaign included challenges built around “Who,” a limited-time profile-frame reward and fan content collected through a special hub. TikTok’s announcement also directed users to BTS’s official account.
That makes the current development different from Jimin appearing on TikTok for the first time in any capacity. Instead, it marks the beginning of posting through an individual account under his own name.
The difference also separates two songs from the same album: TikTok’s 2024 campaign centered heavily on “Who,” while Jimin selected “Be Mine” for his first personal post.
‘Be Mine’ Connects Back to Jimin’s Solo Catalog
MUSE followed Jimin’s first solo album, FACE, which was released in March 2023.
BIGHIT’s official discography lists “Set Me Free Pt.2” as the prerelease track from FACE and “Like Crazy” as its main track. The six-track album also contains an English-language version of “Like Crazy.”
Together, FACE and MUSE established Jimin’s solo discography well before his personal TikTok account became active.
The new “Be Mine” performance therefore works more as a fresh presentation of existing material than the beginning of a newly announced recording cycle.
Reports about follower or view totals surrounding the account are inherently time-sensitive because those numbers can change rapidly. The more durable development is straightforward: Jimin posted his first video on his personal TikTok account on Sept. 28 and used it to showcase choreography to “Be Mine.”
For listeners encountering the track through the short-form clip, the complete recording remains part of MUSE, alongside “Who,” “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,” “Slow Dance” and the rest of the seven-song album.
