BTS member Jungkook has reached another major social media milestone after becoming the most-mentioned singer on X in 2026, with more than 2.6 million mentions recorded during the first seven months of the year.
The World Music Awards announced the ranking, placing Jungkook at No. 1 among singers mentioned on X between January 1 and July 31.
The result puts him ahead of several major music stars, including Michael Jackson, Drake, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd.
Michael Jackson ranked second with about 2.4 million mentions, while Drake took third place with 2.1 million. Bad Bunny ranked fifth with 1.7 million mentions, followed by Justin Bieber at No. 6 with 1.5 million. The Weeknd landed at No. 8 with 1.2 million mentions. Bruno Mars followed at No. 9 with 1.1 million, while Harry Styles rounded out the top 10 with 1 million mentions, Kstartrend reported.
The World Music Awards described Jungkook as the “most-mentioned singer on social media platform X” in 2026. The recognition adds to the BTS star’s growing record of strong activity and interest across major social media platforms.
Jungkook also made a major impact on X during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After performing at the halftime show during the tournament final, he reportedly received more than 800,000 mentions. That made him the most-mentioned solo artist on X connected to the World Cup.
Jungkook Hits Major Instagram and TikTok
His popularity is also visible on Instagram. Jungkook reportedly has seven posts that have each passed 1 million reposts, the most such posts by an individual.
According to AllKPop, one of his posts is also said to be the second-most-reposted post in Instagram history, behind Lionel Messi’s post with 2.6 million reposts.
TikTok has shown a similar level of interest. The #jungkook hashtag has reportedly passed 400 billion views worldwide, making it the first hashtag linked to a solo artist to reach that mark.
Jungkook’s social media achievement comes as BTS continues to perform strongly with its fifth full-length album, ARIRANG. The album has spent 20 straight weeks on the UK Official Albums Chart, reaching No. 43 for the August 7–13 tracking period.
The milestone beats BTS’ previous record of 19 consecutive weeks on the chart. ARIRANG also reached No. 19 on the Official Scottish Albums Chart and remained No. 3 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart.
