BTS member Jimin became one of the most talked-about celebrities at the Dior Men’s Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on June 24.
While many fans praised his appearance and star power, unedited Getty Images from the event also sparked strong criticism and heated online debate.
As Dior’s global ambassador, Jimin attended the luxury brand’s runway presentation wearing a long, tailored outfit, paired with wavy hair styling.
Soon after the event, several unedited photos from Getty Images and other media outlets spread across online communities and social media platforms.
The photos quickly drew mixed reactions from netizens. Some criticized the styling, hairstyle, and outfit choice, while others defended the BTS star and questioned why the comments toward his appearance became so harsh. On the Korean forum theqoo, some users reacted negatively to the look.
According to Koreaboo, one commenter wrote, “It’s a styling miss. His proportions don’t look good like this. Shorter hair would look better.” Another added, “They put someone short in an outfit that long…? And seriously, what’s going on with that hair???”
Others, however, felt the criticism went too far. One fan commented, “People are really going hard with the looks-based criticism. He looked fine in the videos, though.” Another supporter wrote, “Jimin, you’re beautiful. You were the best today as always.”
BTS Jimin Dominates Social Media
Even with the backlash, Jimin’s appearance dominated social media throughout the event.
Fans flooded X with praise, sharing clips, photos, and reactions as hashtags like #JIMINxDIOR and “DIOR GLOBAL AMBASSADOR JIMIN” began trending worldwide.
According to data shared by the X account About Music, Jimin generated more than 550,000 posts just hours after appearing at the Dior show. The account also claimed that over 250,000 posts were made within a single hour during his arrival, SportsKeeda reported.
Many fans described Jimin as the true highlight of the event. One viral post read, “Of course! He’s the main event today!” Others called him the “Dior Prince,” “Global IT Boy,” and “main character” of the fashion show.
Supporters also pointed out that despite the criticism surrounding the unedited photos, Jimin still managed to command huge attention online. His appearance became one of the biggest talking points from the Dior Men’s SS27 presentation.
