A recent post circulating on Korean online communities titled “I Honestly Think Jisoo Needs to Stop Acting” quickly gained traction, attracting thousands of comments from netizens.
The original poster argued that despite several years of expanding into acting, Jisoo has shown little improvement and is better suited to continuing her career as an idol rather than pursuing lead acting roles. Many commenters agreed, claiming that her delivery, facial expressions, and emotional scenes particularly crying sequences still feel unconvincing.
Others, however, defended the BLACKPINK member, arguing that she is far from a poor actress and that her continued casting in leading roles reflects her immense popularity, especially in the global market.
Jisoo joined YG Entertainment in 2011 before officially debuting with BLACKPINK in August 2016.
