All four members of BLACKPINK have been named recipients of South Korea’s Jade Crown Order of Cultural Merit, adding individual government honors to the group’s 10th anniversary year. Rosé, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo are included in the announced list for the 2026 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards in Seoul.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced 36 individual and group recipients across the awards’ categories. The ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 29 at the National Theater of Korea. The announcement establishes the honors; it does not establish whether the four members will attend in person.
BLACKPINK’s decoration is the Okgwan, translated as Jade Crown. Yonhap’s Korean-language report specifies that each of the four members is receiving it. That makes the announcement more specific than a single collective award to BLACKPINK: all four names appear among the cultural-order recipients.
The award’s grade also matters when describing it in English. The Jade Crown is the fourth of the Order of Cultural Merit’s five grades, rather than its highest level. Other recipients on this year’s list are receiving different grades, so calling BLACKPINK’s decoration the country’s highest cultural honor would misstate the announcement.
The late Shin Hae-chul is being awarded the Silver Crown posthumously. Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk and singer Han Young-ae are among those named for the Treasure Crown. The list also includes Park Myung-sung, Park Young-nam and Shin Kwan-woong among the Treasure Crown recipients.
For BLACKPINK, the recognition comes a decade after their 2016 debut. Korean reporting connects the honors to their international achievements and contribution to the reach of Korean popular music. The four individual decorations put the members alongside artists and entertainers whose careers span different generations and forms of performance.
The broader recipient list extends beyond the Order of Cultural Merit. Presidential commendations include Super Junior, the band Boohwal, director Jang Hang-jun and actors Yoo Hae-jin, Ryu Seung-ryong and So Ji-sub. AKMU and actors Kim Go-eun and Oh Jung-se are among the prime ministerial commendation recipients.
NMIXX and ENHYPEN are among the culture minister’s commendation recipients. Those categories are separate from the orders awarded to BLACKPINK, even though they are presented under the same government awards program. Keeping the categories distinct gives fans a clearer account of what each artist has been selected to receive.
The announced ceremony program also includes performances by La Poem and Han Young-ae, according to Korean coverage. Neither the recipient list nor the advance program should be treated as evidence of an unannounced BLACKPINK performance.
The confirmed news is the selection of Rosé, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo for individual Jade Crown decorations. Whether they appear together onstage, send representatives or acknowledge the honor separately requires confirmation from the ceremony or the members’ official channels.
