Big Ocean is putting sign language at the center of its latest musical concept with “Love Sign,” the K-pop trio’s new single scheduled for September 9, ahead of a U.S. tour and a New York Fashion Week collaboration with designer Andy Yu.
Featuring PJ, Chanyeon and Jiseok, the group brings its performance identity into the song’s central question: “What’s your sign?” According to the group’s announcement, the track gives the familiar pickup line a different meaning, building its chorus around references to American Sign Language, British Sign Language, Korean Sign Language and others.
The announcement describes “Love Sign” as a primarily English-language track with a nu-disco sound. Its concept places signing within the song’s subject matter and hook, extending an approach that has been part of Big Ocean’s identity since its debut.

All three members are hard of hearing and use hearing aids or cochlear implants. Their performances incorporate Korean Sign Language, American Sign Language and International Sign, combining signing with the choreography and visual presentation associated with K-pop.
Big Ocean debuted on April 20, 2024, with “GLOW,” a remake of H.O.T.’s “Light.” The group subsequently released the mini albums Follow and Underwater, followed by The Greatest Battle on March 3, 2026, World Hearing Day. “Love Sign” adds a new standalone release to that catalog as the trio prepares to meet U.S. audiences again.
The group’s approach also involves adapting how its members rehearse. According to its press materials, Big Ocean has trained with technology that translates beats into smartwatch vibrations and flashing visual cues. Those tools provide additional ways for the members to follow rhythm while preparing their performances.
Audience participation has developed alongside that approach. The group’s biography describes fans using sign-language cheering, making signing part of the exchange between the stage and the crowd.
That connection will be central to the trio’s next run of appearances. The announced fall U.S. itinerary begins September 13 in Katonah, New York, before continuing to concert and Korean festival stops through October.
“We are so excited to connect and celebrate with our U.S. fans again!” the group said in its tour announcement. “Every tour gives us the chance to create new memories together, and we’ve prepared something truly special for this one. We can’t wait to see everyone soon.”
Before the tour begins, Big Ocean is scheduled to introduce its Andy Yu collaboration at New York Men’s Day on September 10. The collection draws on American denim and K-pop influences, with 10 men’s looks and additional unisex designs, according to the announcement. A separate merchandise drop is also planned for September 10.
The single, fashion presentation and opening concert bring three parts of Big Ocean’s fall schedule into the same week, giving fans new music ahead of the group’s return to the U.S. stage.
