The Bleach anime series has officially reached its conclusion with an emotional 10-year timeskip.
The Bleach television anime franchise has officially brought its 22-year journey to an end with its final episode, giving fans a glimpse into the lives of Kurosaki Ichigo and his companions 10 years after their monumental battle against Yhwach. Audiences had to wait a long time to see the conclusion of creator Tite Kubo’s original manga brought to the screen. The anime’s comeback began several years ago with Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, which unfolded across four cours and depicted the fierce, fate-defining war that determined the future of the three worlds.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has now concluded its four-part run with its final episode, arriving more than 10 years after the original TV anime ended. Following the penultimate episode’s conclusion of the prolonged battle against Yhwach, the finale jumps 10 years into the future, exploring Ichigo and his friends’ new lives as they prepare for the next chapter.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Officially Ends With a Timeskip in Episode 50

Episode 50 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, titled “Death & Strawberry,” fully adapts the final two chapters of Tite Kubo’s original manga. Set 10 years after the battle against Yhwach, the episode reveals how the characters’ lives have changed over the years. It introduces a new lineup of Gotei 13 captains, including the return of several beloved former captains, and marks Rukia’s official promotion to captain of Squad 13, with Renji serving as her lieutenant. Meanwhile, a mysterious source of spiritual pressure begins to gather.

In the Human World, Ichigo and his friends gather to watch Chad compete in a professional boxing match. The episode reveals that Ichigo has married Orihime, and the couple now have a son named Kazui. Similarly, Rukia and Renji have married and have a daughter named Ichika. Like his parents, Kazui can see spirits, but he also quickly deals with the mysterious spiritual pressure as soon as it begins to form. The energy turns out to be the final remnants of Yhwach, which are now completely destroyed. With that, peace is officially restored to all three worlds.
Is This Really the End of Bleach?
Although Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has concluded its television run, the franchise still has several exciting events planned for fans in the near future. The franchise has announced plans to return next year with a special event called “Bleach Fes.” in Japan, celebrating the anime’s 22-year journey. The event will bring together the voice cast and production team to look back on the series’ history. If fans are lucky, it could also offer a glimpse into the franchise’s next steps.
After all, while the anime has completed its adaptation of the original Bleach manga, there is still additional material that could make its way to the screen. Kubo himself returned years later with an official one-shot manga chapter that opened the door to an entirely new storyline involving enemies returning from Hell. If all goes well, fans may have reason to hope that the Bleach anime will return someday.
