Recently, a post on X (formerly Twitter) went viral after a fan publicly called out an idol and revealed the reason they left the fandom.
In the post, the fan revealed the hard work and effort they put into SS501 Heo Youngsaeng’s birthday fan cafe. They stated that they had many photos to share from the past seven years of running a fan account, and because he hadn’t held a birthday fan cafe event in three years, they thought it was the perfect time to hold one.

Three months before the birthday event, they messaged his agency to see if he would like to visit the cafe; however, they were denied, as they felt it would be difficult to visit all the cafes.
Although they were the only birthday cafe event known to date to hold one this year, they didn’t think anything of it, as there was still time for another person to possibly host one.
However, on the day of the birthday cafe event, they received a message on Bubble the next day saying he had rented out a cafe for his birthday. They didn’t understand why, as they had spent a lot of money to open one, and the agency could’ve messaged them first to negotiate the times.
On November 3, although the fan’s birthday cafe event was set to open until six, they closed at four to attend his event. Becaues they had a lot of cup holders left over, they took them over and handed them out to the fans.
Heo Youngsaeng spent two hours interacting with fans, but didn’t talk about the cup holders. However, before he left, he stated, “Thankfully, they opened a birthday fan cafe for me. But they kept telling me to come to it…”
After hearing that, the fan was taken aback.
“I was so flustered. How would that make me look, saying that publicly in front of all the fans? I didn’t want to put any burden on him, so I only communicated through email, and it felt unfair that he said that.
I know that must’ve been the best way possible for him to show thanks. But I am tired of the fact that it was the best way he could express it.
He really was my everything. Thanks for being my idol for the past 16 years, since I was in elementary school. Hope you are always happy.”
Netizens were in absolute shock and criticized the idol for their actions.
