Mixed martial arts fighter and television personality Choo Sung Hoon has announced that he will temporarily suspend all social media activities following the death of someone close to him, expressing his profound grief over the unexpected loss.
On October 11, Choo Sung Hoon shared an emotional message on his social media account, revealing, “Someone I loved and respected very much has taken their own life. They were still only in their 40s, far too young to leave this world.”
He continued, “My heart is completely broken, and I’m so devastated that I don’t even know what to say. Only they could truly understand the pain they were going through or what had happened in their life. Still, I wish they could have found the strength to hold on just a little longer.”
Struggling to come to terms with the loss, Choo Sung Hoon added, “I still can’t believe it, and my heart aches so much. I wish I could see them just one more time. Above all, I offer my deepest and most sincere condolences. May they rest in peace.”
He then announced, “I will be taking a break from all social media activities for the time being.”
The heartbreaking news comes just one month after Choo Sung Hoon revealed the passing of his uncle, who had always cared for him and supported him both emotionally and financially. Having lost another important person in such a short period, Choo Sung Hoon is now facing another deeply painful farewell.
Meanwhile, Choo Sung Hoon has continued connecting with audiences through his YouTube channel and various entertainment programs, including the recent travel variety show Real Man’s Travel Guide in Taiwan. He is also scheduled to hold his retirement fight in mixed martial arts at BLACK COMBAT 17, which will take place at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on November 21.
