On October 5, IVE’s official social media accounts uploaded a video without any explanation, showing a mysterious person riding a bicycle along the Han River.
The person wore a Batman-like mask, long gloves and boots, along with a purple cape flowing behind them, immediately drawing attention with the unusual outfit.
However, the mysterious figure indirectly revealed that they were an IVE member by putting up a promotional poster for the group’s upcoming album Looks Can Kill on a wall.

That same day, social media was flooded with eyewitness accounts of other IVE members appearing around the city dressed as different heroes. They were spotted standing on a rooftop reading a newspaper, cleaning the floor of a subway platform, and even enjoying a city bus tour.
In particular, a hero believed to be Jang Wonyoung appeared at a “sansujang,” an outdoor gym located on a mountain somewhere in Seoul. She sprayed mosquito repellent on herself, tried out the exercise equipment, and then lay down on a bench for a nap, leaving fans amused by the unexpected sight.

Netizens who witnessed IVE’s unconventional activities enthusiastically reacted with comments such as, “I was expecting magical girls, but only their outfits were dramatic,” “They’re everyday-life heroes,” “I’m an IVE fan starting today,” “I’ve never seen anything like this before,” and “They’re hilarious just by being themselves.”
Meanwhile, IVE’s agency Starship Entertainment unveiled teaser images for the group’s new mini-album Looks Can Kill through IVE’s official social media accounts on October 2.

The images were designed like casting announcements for a superhero movie, featuring each IVE member in a different pose and style, drawing considerable attention.
The upcoming release is a spin-off project built around a “girl hero” concept. The agency has also announced plans to gradually unveil various related content, including “Hero Comics,” “Hero on Set,” and “Spin-Off.”

IVE’s new title track “Looks Can Kill,” which shares its name with the album, will be released on October 19. The full mini-album will follow on October 26.
