A female K-Pop idol talked about the process of successfully getting pregnant through in vitro fertilization, revealing that she broke the “no pregnancy” rule.
On September 30th, a video titled “The first pregnant woman to willingly break the ‘no pregnancy’ pact and come for prenatal education” was released on the YouTube channel No Back Tak.
Appearing heavily pregnant, Rainbow‘s Go Woori said she personally requested to appear on the show. She said, “Back then, the viewership was good. These days, The show feels a bit lackluster. It feels like home to me, so I couldn’t just sit still.”

When Tak Jae Hoon pointed out that she avoided watching the show during pregnancy, Go Woori explained, “I was so bored at home. What’s prenatal education anyway? You’re supposed to laugh, be a little happy, and see good things, so that’s why I came on.” She added, “I really missed Tak Jae Hoon, so I came.”
Go Woori revealed that, due to infertility, natural pregnancy was difficult, so she prepared for in vitro fertilization. She said, “Because we were an infertile couple, natural pregnancy was hard, so we prepared for IVF. We received this child as a precious gift.” She joked, “Now that I’m pregnant, I’m being treated like a national treasure. My husband is treating me like a delicate Goryeo celadon and doesn’t even dare touch me.”
Due to this pregnancy, Rainbow18 activities have been suspended. Go Woori explained that she and Jo Hyunyoung had set a pregnancy ban period while preparing for their unit activities. However, since the IVF succeeded earlier than expected, plans changed. She expressed regret, saying, “Hyunyoung’s jobs have recently stopped because of me. We were originally working hard to promote together.”
She added, “We didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. Honestly, I wanted to continue activities longer, but they said if it’s too late, it might not work out well.”
Go Woori also revealed that the baby is a boy. She said, “I hope my son will be like Tak Jae Hoon,” and laughed, saying, “Now that it’s a boy, I think I should go get some energy from Jae Hoon oppa. I hope he is born with a fate like oppa’s.”
Go Woori married a businessman five years her senior in 2022 and is due to give birth in October.
