A female K-Pop idol opened up candidly about her thoughts upon seeing several of her idol friends tie the knot recently.
In a recent interview with Star News in celebration of Chuseok, Secret member Jun Hyosung shared her views on marriage. Jun Hyosung has been in the industry for 17 years, and longtime friends have recently been sharing happy news one by one.
Yang Jiwon, an original member of group SPICA who almost debuted with Jun Hyosung in the group Five Girls, announced marriage and pregnancy with musical actor Yang Joon Mo in August.

Regarding the wedding news of close friends, Jun Hyosung said, “I sincerely congratulate them, and at the same time, it feels strange. I still don’t feel like I’m an adult. So it’s really surprising that those who worked with me back then are getting married and becoming mothers. Fortunately, the elders in my family don’t nag me about marriage,” she laughed.
She added, “Even after attending their weddings, that sense of wonder remains. It’s like, ‘Are they really getting married?’ I think there must be a sense of stability and reassurance that comes from having someone who will never waver by your side no matter what hardships come.”
However, she shared her own stance, saying, “I’m not anti-marriage, but I have no desire to rush into marriage just because of age. It’s a choice—whether to marry or not. Even if I meet someone, I think they need to be the kind of person worth dreaming a future with. I don’t want to hurry into marriage.”
