A reality dating show star personally announced her breakup with a participant from a different season of the same show following various rumors.
On September 25th, Hyun Sook from I Am SOLO Season 22 shared her feelings on her social media account after appearing on JTBC’s Love War, revealing that she and Kwang Soo from Season 16 had decided to go their separate ways.
Hyun Sook greeted, “Hello, I’m Kim So Yeon, who appeared on episodes 12 and 13 of Love War,” and added, “After learning about my shortcomings through the show and the panelists’ advice, I have been reflecting deeply to correct my mistakes.”
She continued, “Since this was my first relationship after divorce, everything was quite lacking and clumsy. Because the relationship began while I was still immature, my anxiety and wounds made me more sensitive and emotional, which sometimes made things difficult for the other person.”
She vowed, “Without using past wounds as an excuse to overreact to small things, I will try to mature much more, both in my actions and heart.”
Hyun Sook also shared her feelings about the criticism that poured in after the broadcast. She said, “The harsh criticism right after the show was emotionally tough, but I also see this as an opportunity to correct myself and grow. I will take the feedback seriously.”
She then directly addressed her relationship with Kwang Soo, stating, “Though the show portrayed us choosing to continue dating, I have decided to go our separate ways after filming,” confirming their breakup.
Hyun Sook and Kwang Soo recently appeared on JTBC’s Love War, openly discussing the conflicts and concerns they faced during their relationship, attracting attention.
After confronting the realities of their relationship on the show, the two decided to continue dating after deep reflection.
However, signs hinting at their breakup appeared on both their social media accounts. Photos and posts featuring Kwang Soo were deleted from Hyun Sook’s account, and Kwang Soo reportedly removed photos of them together. They also no longer followed each other on social media.
Amid these breakup rumors, Hyun Sook’s personal announcement that they had decided to go their separate ways confirmed that their relationship had ended.
