A Korean actress confessed that she secretly underwent breast augmentation surgery and later had the implants removed.
On September 23rd, a video titled “The Day I Shopped for Underwear at Namdaemun” was released on Hwang Jung Eum’s YouTube channel.
In the video, Hwang Jung Eum bought a large amount of daily necessities like acupressure slippers and scrubbers at Namdaemun Market. The production team recommended shopping for underwear, saying, “There are many shops here famous for underwear,” but Hwang Jung Eum caught attention by saying, “Honestly, I think it’s a waste to shop for underwear. I don’t need it. I usually don’t wear a bra and instead wear nipple patches.”
She also addressed a recent video controversy about going braless, explaining candidly, “That day was for filming, so I wore lace underwear without cups. Thankfully, the strap was visible. It’s not like I didn’t wear a bra. Today is actually braless.”
Notably, she surprised everyone by revealing, “When I was young, I wanted my breasts to look bigger. In 2010, breast surgery was a trend. I had the surgery done without telling anyone, not even my family.”
Hwang Jung Eum added, “If you compare, the volume is different from back then. But after the surgery, blood circulation wasn’t good, and I ate a lot to recover, so I gained weight. The implants felt heavy, and my back became hunched.”
Eventually, Hwang Jung Eum experienced discomfort after the breast augmentation and underwent surgery to remove the implants. She expressed relief, saying, “These days, it’s trendy not to have surgery, so I got mine taken out too. My body feels so comfortable now. I don’t even know why I did it in the first place.”
