KATSEYE has finally addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding Manon’s future with the group, but Lara’s response has left fans with different interpretations.
While continuing the European leg of THE WILDWORLD TOUR, the four members currently performing—Lara, Daniela, Megan, and Yoonchae—sat down for an interview with Swedish program Lilla Aktuellt. During the conversation, the host brought up one of the biggest topics currently circulating among fans: the status of Manon and Sophia and whether they will eventually return.
The interviewer specifically asked the members about rumors suggesting that Manon and Sophia might not come back and wanted to know whether there was any truth behind the speculation.
Lara quickly rejected the rumors, saying she could confidently say they were not true. She explained that people often seem eager to create a negative narrative around the group, but KATSEYE chooses not to engage with such speculation because, according to her, it does not reflect reality.
Manon has been on hiatus since February 2026, with HYBE x Geffen previously stating that she was taking time away to focus on her personal health and well-being. Sophia later stepped back from THE WILDWORLD TOUR in August to prioritize her mental health. While fans have generally viewed Sophia’s break as more straightforward, Manon’s prolonged absence has fueled months of online discussion about whether she will eventually rejoin KATSEYE.
Because of that uncertainty, Lara’s firm rejection of the rumors immediately caught fans’ attention. Some interpreted her comments as reassurance that Manon’s return remains possible and that speculation about her permanently leaving the group is unfounded.
