According to reports from overseas media outlets, including The Korea Herald, and comments from industry insiders, Rosé was offered an advertising contract worth approximately $7.2 million from a major Chinese tea beverage brand. However, the singer reportedly decided not to accept the deal.
A collaboration with a major champagne brand also reportedly fell through. Rosé is said to have spent around a year discussing a potential partnership with the brand, including the possibility of creating a special-edition product bearing her name. However, the project ultimately did not move forward after Rosé was reportedly dissatisfied with the proposed bottle design.

The outlet analyzed that following the worldwide success of “APT.,” Rosé has established herself not merely as a member of BLACKPINK but as a global pop artist with a distinct identity of her own. The report noted that she has reached a level of influence and choice available to only a select number of K-pop artists, allowing her to turn down even highly lucrative offers when they do not meet her personal standards.
Last year, an executive from a BLACKPINK member’s agency reportedly told the same outlet that “one of the members has become extremely particular.” Although the identity of the member was never revealed, if the comment was referring to Rosé, it could indicate that she now has significantly more say over the details and final execution of projects associated with her name and image.
Meanwhile, Rosé debuted as a member of BLACKPINK in 2016 and began pursuing solo activities in 2021. She achieved global success in 2024 with “APT.,” her collaboration with pop superstar Bruno Mars.
